About Me

I’m a writer, mom, wife, and RN, navigating middle age as gracefully as possible while dealing with the many, many curveballs the universe keeps throwing at me.

In the early 2000s, I blogged prolifically at A Fabulous Mess, where I essentially posted about every detail of my life, particulary my adventures at the bar while trying to survive nursing school. When I graduated, working full time in the PICU took over my life and maximized my anxiety. I didn’t feel like writing anymore, so I let the blog go.

Two decades later, a lot of life has happened. One thing being that I’ve built myself a successful career as a healthcare writer (still an RN, though not currently practicing).

Spending so much of my time writing professionally has rekindled my love of writing in general.

Today, I have a wonderful husband, two amazing kids, and a dog that I adore, but I know the internet, and so I will be keeping a lot of things private this time around. Anything I post will be posted with the permission of the people involved, and I intend to unpack my thoughts here more than anything else.

I might complain or tell a story or two, but mainly this is a space for me to create and share with anyone who wants to read what I have to say.

Thank you for being here!
